Yes. It's been 10 years. And I cannot count the times I tried to start a software company. It's one of my desires that up until now, still unfulfilled. But if I look at it on a different perspective, this is not actually bad after all. Because God's not done with me yet.
\nWay back years ago, I had kept a Word of God during my daily devotion.
\nIt was from Numbers 9:15-23.
\nThe story is telling me not to move unless God moves as well. I thought, yeah, that was a great idea and I decided to call my first solo attempt side project as The Fiery Cloud. Which is the title of the story in New Living Translation.
\nAnd it didn't move. ⛈ #NothingHappen
\nFast forward, 5 years since, here I am again.
\nTrying to make another new beginning.
\nBut this time, it's different.
\nI received another Word from God that speaks right into my heart.
\nIt's from Matthew 6:33.
\n
It tells me not to seek what could be the next big idea that will hit.
\nBut instead, God tells me, to seek Him first and His righteousness. Then this desire deep down in my heart, to have my own software related company, will be added to my life. And many other desires.
\nAnd that's how I got the name of my future company.

As you know from my previous blogs and \"product\" posts in this site, I am obviously hustling in the #NoCodeConnectsUs Challenge by Adalo.
\nDuring my first week, I was able to submit 4 entries for the contest which I'm surprised. Of course they are not that amazing to you, but they are wonderful web apps to me.
\nI've never build as fast as that in my life ever. Truly Adalo gave us a super power!
\nThen on the 2nd week, I got super busy at work that I can't find time to work on new web apps. But thankfully, I was still able to pull 2 apps during that weekend.
\nAnd on the third week, I don't know what to build anymore.
\nMy eyes are on the prize. I am focused. I really want the lifetime access to Adalo so bad. And I only have 1 idea left.
\nA Bible app.
\nSomething that I am really passionate about because it is supernatural.
\nAnd I really believe that God's Word is the greatest weapon that we have to fight the effects of this pandemic in our lives.
\nAnd so I build my last entry and submitted it to Nucode.
\nOnly God knows what will happen from there.
\nThere are lots of amazing entries that even though it seems like I have lots of entries, the other apps are just brilliant.

I was actually been following Ionic Framework since it's version 1. I even subscribed to Ionic Creator because I'm really not a hardcore programmer. Then it went on to v2, v3, v4 and I still can't make it work.
\nThen suddenly, Anvil came into the picture with a very bold declaration, \"Built nothing but Python\". I'm reminded. I have a little bit of Python skills in me from over a year of building Airflow DAGs. So I jumped in and built the very first version of the Daily Devotion app.
\nI was actually happy because this was the first time that I made a working web app. And it's built nothing but Python. Compared to other web frameworks I tried and built nothing.
\nI really love using my app. I actually have my daily devotions saved there. Until such time that I'm not using it anymore. And I'm not updating the app anymore. All because of the user interface. I really don't like how I can't make the look and feel the way I want it to be.
\nAnvil is really a wonderful framework for building web apps, specially if Python is your favorite language. So it's not Anvil's fault, it's me and my buggy attitude. I want to build something beautiful with less effort on me because I'm not a designer.
\nI give Ionic Framework another shot and this time it's already in v5. I rebuild my Daily Devotion app and true enough, it's pretty. Specially, when used on an Apple device. 🍎

Based from my experience, this is so true. It's very easy to start something. And it's very hard to finish it. But the Bible says, finishing is better than starting. \nIt was around September 2018 when an unexpected storm came. Me and my colleagues got offered to leave the company. Business decision they say. But then I'm grateful because I know God is with us always.
\nWhile looking for another job, I taught myself to build a web app. I stumbled upon Flask, a micro service web framework built in Python. With the help of a Udemy Course, I was able to build the very first version of Daily Devotion hosted on a free Heroku platform.
\nWas this finished? No.

God blessed me with a new job. A promotion from my previous one. With a relocation package. God's been good! However, I really want to build something but I'm not a web developer. I just keep on searching until I stumbled upon Anvil, another platform that allows non-hardcore web developers to build web apps with nothing but Python.
\nThey have a free tier of their platform with the privilege to use pretty much most of the functionality needed to build a decent web app. The only requirement is a knowledge in Python and we can crack on. Fast forward, I was able to build a better version of Daily Devotion. However, I was able to use it for just a few months. I lost the joy in using it.
\nWas it finished? Semi.

I still have the same job by the grace of God. And I've learned loyalty during my tenure. Our team are blessed to have a limited access to LinkedIn Learning. The very first thing that I've searched was an Ionic Framework training. I stumbled upon this Ionic 4.0 Essential Training by Sani Yusuf.
\nI've been actually following Ionic Framework's journey since the beginning but due to my limited web development skills, I wasn't able to make even one decent working app. However, through Sani's course, I was able to follow and build the newest version of Daily Devotion, now a progressive web app built in Ionic 5.

Sorry but truth is, there is no love in sin.
\nIn this example, Jesus raises the bar higher when it comes to committing adultery.
\nJesus said, just by looking at a person with lust, we are already committing adultery in our hearts.
\nAnd that's where I found how Jesus loves us so much.
\nJesus really cares about the condition of our hearts.
\nBased from my personal experience, I find it really hard to give and show genuine love when my heart is full of lust.
\nA person who loves will raise the bar higher just to keep us from harm.
\nA person who does not love does otherwise.

Anger is dangerous.
\nIt could overpower mercy and love for a moment.
\nThat's why an angry person can suddenly do unimaginable thing subconsciously realizing later that it's all because of the great anger inside.
\nAnd Jesus knew everything about man.
\nIf we knew we have enemies, don't feed the anger by delaying because what we feed grows.
\nSo to prevent this from happening, Jesus wants us to settle our differences quickly with our enemy to conquer sudden anger and unnecessary actions with great love.

One of the many reasons why we need to be planted in a local church is for us to have a place where we can express our worship to God by giving Him back what belongs to Him.
\nThese could be in a form of tithes, vows, offerings or in this passage, it's called sacrifice.
\nHowever because we are used in doing this religiously, we tend to overlook what really matters before the eyes of God.
\n\n\nBut Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22 NLT
\n
God wants our hearts to be free from any kinds of bondage first more than any offerings and sacrifices.
\nSo if we suddenly remember someone that we are not in good terms with, God wants us to love first by reconciling to that person immediately.
\nOnce done, we can now go back and continue our givings to God.
\nGod don't need our money. Besides, everything we have comes from Him anyways.
\nGod wants our loving hearts more than anything. 💖

Committing murder is beyond extreme.
\nBut getting angry at someone, like saying bad things and even curses about and to the person seems a typical moment in our life.
\nHowever, for Jesus, both are equal even the first one seems more extreme than the latter.
\nBoth are subject to judgment and are in danger of the fires of hell.
\nTo be clear, we can be angry.
\nBut I think this kind of anger is towards a person that we have heaviness and bitterness in our hearts.
\nHence, curses come out because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
\n\n\nAnd “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, Ephesians 4:26 NLT
\n
We are humans and are emotional beings.
\nWe can become angry.
\nBut in anger, don't sin by letting our hearts be controlled by hate and bitterness.
\nInstead, be angry at sin and love the person. 💖

I'm pretty sure that there is love in this passage but I just cannot find the right terminology.
\nIsn't it hard to do something or to do something for someone that we don't love?
\nOr sometimes we still do the things we do but not in loving way anymore.
\nIn this passage, I see the love when Jesus said \"It should be done...\".
\nYes, God getting water baptized.
\nFor me, Jesus has all the more reason to not do water baptism because He is God Himself.
\nHe designed and created water baptism for us to do, His children.
\nBut regardless of His identity and position, Jesus chose to show love through humility.
\nThere is no pride in God.
\nIt blows my mind to realize how much great things we can do if we will not allow pride to get in the way.
\nAs a Christian, it would be hard for me to do the Great Commission if I think highly of myself than other people.
\nAs a Husband, it would be hard for me to help my wife do the house chores if I think that I am the provider in the family and I don't deserve to do lowly tasks.
\nAs soon to be Father, it would be hard for me to say to our kids how much I love them if I will think that they should be the one telling me that they love me.
\nAs a Data Architect (at the moment of this writing), it would be hard for me to do documentations, helping other colleagues do things that seems easy for me but hard for them if I think of myself in much higher position than they are.
\nAs the President of Wired Professionals Fellowship in our church, it would be very hard for me to call and pray for people if I think of myself that it's not my job to this these things.
\nI think my mission to found Jesus' Love in this passage is accomplished.
\nI need to love myself by being humble by not thinking about my place and position in life and by not giving pride a chance to enter my heart.
\nThrough Jesus' example and by the grace of God, we can do greater things in humility and love!

\nBelievers and followers of Christ will experience mocking and persecution from people.
\nI can't feel any love in that.
\nHowever, Jesus see it differently.
\nJesus says, we should be happy and be very glad about it!
\nWait... what? How?
\nWhen we are fully convinced that we will have a great reward that is waiting for us in heaven.
\nWhen we remember that even the ancient prophets were also persecuted in the same way.
\nAnd I realized that there is love in the midst of persecution.
\nGod is there for us and gives us assurance of a blessed life in heaven.

\nBut I am just taking it lightly.
\nBecause no one dared to confront me about my sins.
\nUntil my time has come.
\nWhen God moved and linked me to His children.
\nSomeone has to be bold enough to share God's love for me and my need to deal with my sins.
\nYes it was offensive.
\nThat's why we are afraid and don't bother sharing it.
\nBut Jesus is different.
\nHe began to preach a message that will offend people, to repent of their sins and turn to God.
\nBut in the end, the real message is love.
\nThe truth is, not telling people to repent from sins and turn to God is actually not loving them.
\nWe really love when we follow and do Jesus' way.
\nI know it's not easy.
\nBut if Jesus did it this way, it means that this approach is very important.
\nWe can do this if we will just allow our hearts to be filled with Jesus Love.

Jesus loves teaching through analogy.
\nHe used salt to let us know that we should strive and work hard in maintaining our Christianity. Otherwise, it will be hard to impossible to get it back again.
\nHe used light for us to understand that we are meant to shine and not to hide the brightness. Otherwise, it will be useless.
\nI think it is the same with love.
\nIf we say we love but we are not using and showing it, then there's no point in loving.
\nWe should love like salt & light.
\nWe need to ask God to help us keep love in our hearts and to be loving in this world.

\nWhy? Is it because this is about divorce?

\nSo I think I'll just focus around understanding more on what Jesus says.
\nFor me, I think the reason why Jesus raised the bar higher when it comes to divorce is because it is not good for us and He really cares for our hearts.
\n\n\nSince they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.” Matthew 19:6 NLT

The reason why people decided to get married is because of love.
\nAnd I think God is very happy and loves it so much that He even made two different people to be one forever.
\nWhich is the total opposite of divorce.
\nJesus says, if it's due to unfaithfulness so be it but otherwise don't.
\nAnd don't marry someone who got divorced.
\nIt's like trying to deconstruct a house.
\nIt can be done but all the pieces can be damaged or even be broken, almost good for nothing.
\nYes some parts may be reused for another house but it is not as strong as brand new. It could tear apart and won't last that long.
\nSo no matter how delicate the issue may be, stand up for what is right.
\nAnd that's where I found real love in Jesus. 💖

It took me a while to write again because I suddenly find it hard to deal with the Law of Moses since I've started to dig deeper on how Jesus love.
\nStoning to death anyone? Doesn't seem loving to me anymore.
\nMaybe during Moses' time this is acceptable because they seem to be living in Barbaric era.
\nHowever several years gone by and this was still being practiced religiously.
\nAnd then Jesus came not to abolish the law but to accomplish their purpose.
\nI honestly still don't understand and grasp the breadth of this thought but maybe having an example would help.
\n\n\n4 “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” John 8:4-5 NLT

In this example, did Jesus abolished the law of stoning to death?
\nI don't think so because He says, let the one who don't have sinned be the first to throw a stone.
\nSo how did Jesus accomplished the purpose of this law?
\nI still don't know. I think it's love.
\nI think Jesus accomplished the purpose of this law by going to the heart of people without them knowing it.
\nI think Jesus knew that there is love in every hearts of people.
\nIt's just that being religious to the law chained the love that hinders people from loving one another.
\nAnd that's where I found Jesus love. 💖

\nIt also seem unloving to cut off my hand and throw it away either when it caused me to sin.
\nBut when Jesus said these radical things to me, that's where I found His great love for me the most.
\nJesus knew that keeping a life living in sin is the one way ticket to hell.
\nAnd Jesus won't let that happen to those He love.
\nThat's why even if it seems extreme and radical and would cause me to hurt my feelings, He taught these hard truths anyway.
\nI think that's what real love is all about.
\nEven if it would hurt our loved one's feelings, let's choose to share Jesus no matter how hard it may be for us.
\nIf heaven is real, so is hell. ⚡

\nAnd as I meditate on this passage, I realized that temptations give us an opportunity to show love.
\nLooking at how Jesus face temptation, He took this opportunity to show whom He really love by responding with the Word of God.
\nIt sure is not loving to the devil but it is lovely to God.
\nIn times of temptations, we respond in love by echoing every word that comes from the mouth of God.
\nWe cannot give what we don't have.
\nWe cannot respond in love if we don't have the Word of God in our hearts.
\nHence, we do not live by taking care of our physical bodies alone.
\nWe also need to live by feeding our soul and Spirit by reading the Bible everyday.

It's been a while since I made another no-code app.
\nI've totally lost the desire and motivation even though the no-code ecosystem has been very generous to help non-coders to create.
\nBut one day, I stumbled upon Glideapps again and I'm amazed at how it grew it's functionalities in one year.
\nI played around and took the time to learn Glideapps.
\nI also discovered their Templates kind of like a marketplace.
\nThen I tried building a church template app.
\nHowever, it's not yet finished until now but I had the feel of what it's like in building a Glide app.
\nThe next thing I did was a simple to do list app.
\nIt went through several cycles and name change until finally, Plans was born.
